Welcome!

This website is where my love for art, sentimentality, and learning collide.

I'm a sharer by nature, and instead of having my work all spread out over Tumblrs and Flickrs and Vimeos I wanted to have one unified place to share the various things I'm creating and learning. So I made this site.

When I look at my work I have many of the same emotions that one might have looking through a family photo album. Great relationships and great memories are represented here, and I'm grateful for the resources like cameras and lenses that allow me to capture and preserve moments that mean a lot to me.

The art of it is really just there to enhance the sentiment.

Thanks for checking it out :)

For me, photography is a passion that was born out of sentimentality and opportunism.

I've always had a sensitivity for fleeting moments, and photography is a gift to me in that it helps me hang onto those moments just a little longer.

Videography

Videography

My love affair with videography started with an HP point-and-shoot that I got for my 21st birthday.

My craft has evolved over the years, but the goal is still the same: tell a story that makes them smile, makes them laugh....makes them feel something.

I always find myself wishing that other artists would share more about how and why they did things the way they did.

Questions like, "How did you cross a language barrier and get a stranger in another country to pose for a photo for you on the street?", or "What f-stop did you shoot that at and why?", or "Why do you keep wearing that hat even though it clearly has a hole in it?".

I've found a lot of fulfillment as I've grown as an artist, and I just want to use my experiences to make investments into other artists. I like being open about the creative process, because it really is just that--a process.

Some of my posts are about how I did things, and some are project or trip highlights...either way they're a look into how my mind works and how I see the world.
